Charles Milton “Charley” Van Cleave Charley Cleave came from Minburn, Iowa. He and Henrietta Christina Norman were married in Dawson in 1910.((Indexes to Applications for Liquor Licenses, 1898-1901. Vol. 75 Microfilm)) They operated a roadhouse in the Dawson area and then moved to Mayo in the 1920s to operate the Van Cleave Roadhouse on the Duncan Creek Road, near the Mayo Lake Road junction.
