Nellie Watson (d. 2004) Nellie Watson came to Carcross from Ontario in 1940. She got a job at the Carcross mission school and worked there as a supervisor and nurse. She met and married Bob Watson when she was working at the school. Nellie started working in the Matthew Watson General Store in Carcross in 1959.((Ursula Heller and Barry Gray, //Village Portraits.// Toronto: Methuen, 1981: 108.)) Nell Watson played the piano in the Anglican church and gave piano lessons. She was often the only nurse in the area.
