G. C. Ashbee

Rev. G. C. Ashbee assisted W.D. Young to tear down the last large police building at Selkirk in February 1929. They were collecting material for the erection of a new church on a new site west of the mission house.1) Rev. Ashbee regularly visited Carmacks. He was pleased with the town’s enterprise related to the Whitehorse airfield and was prepared to boost the idea of an airfield in Carmacks when next visited.2)
