Bert Barber

Bert Barber was a gold rush bartender and piano player originally from California. He played piano and tended bar in Dawson. He drank Gordon’s gin and water and smoked using a cigarette holder. His goal in life was to match his weight and his age, and he achieved that on his 89th birthday. This story was told by Doris Gates (Diamond Tooth Gertie) Clinton, British Columbia.1)
