John Binet

Brothers Eugène, John, and Phillippe Binet travelled over the Chilkoot Pass and arrived in the Klondike in 1895. They acquired mining concessions, founded the Binet Bros. business, bought property, and constructed buildings. A block of buildings in Dawson was called the Binet Block. John Binet attended liberal conventions as a delegate and unsuccessfully ran in municipal elections.1)
