Thomas G. Bain (b. ~1909.)

Tom Bain bought the Whitehorse Star from Horace Moore, owner and editor, in May 1950. Rolf Hougen organized a local business group to sign a promissory note at the bank to make this possible.1) The first Whitehorse mayor and council were elected in 1950. T. G. Bain was elected city alderman in 1952 and re-elected in 1953.2)
