Josia Collins
Josia Collins owned two mines, Little Chief and Big Chief, in the Whitehorse Copper Belt in 1909. Little Chief is a short distance north of the Valerie mine and contained important surface showings. Practically no work had been done on it although it was one of the first claims staked in the camp. It was located on 15 September 1898 by Andrew Oleson and sold to Collins in 1899. Big Chief claim adjoins Little Chief on the north. It was staked on 15 September 1898 by Wm. McTaggart.1)
