Margaret “Peg” Cook (1918 - 1991)

Peg Cook was born in Winnipeg. She worked at various branches of the Bank of Montreal in British Columbia and transferred from Vancouver to the Whitehorse branch in 1968. She retired from the bank in the late 1970s. Cook was a volunteer at the MacBride Museum for more than twenty years and was on the executive of the Yukon Historical Society, which ran the museum, until 1975. In that year, the Yukon Historical and Museums Association (YHMA) was established as a separate organization. Cook was a member of YHMA for over twelve years.1)

The City of Whitehorse published Peg Cook, Norma L. Felker, and Helen Horback’s Lost Graves in 1989.
