Thomas Osbourne Connolly (1918 – 1975)

Tom Connolly was born in Saskatchewan. In the early 1940s, he and Johnny Dewhurst came to the Yukon to trap.1) Tom married Jeanne Daley in 1945 and they started the Trails End Ranch and operated the Trading Post in Ross River.2) Tom and his second wife Shirley lived at Ross River and continued to run the business. Tom was the president of the Yukon Outfitter’s Association. The family, with two children, moved to Atlin, British Columbia in 1964 and were instrumental in starting the Atlin Historical Society and the museum.3)
