Emily Dalton

Emily Dalton was a friend to Kate Partridge from England. She came to Carcross as a companion to Selena, the wife of Reverend William Bompas, the Anglican Bishop. Bompas would take off for long trips, forgetting his family and leaving them with little money and food. Miss Dalton decided she would rather live with the Partridges and accompanied them to Ben-My-Chree where she became a partner in the mine, remaining there until Otto and Kate died.¹⁾
