Johnny “Jack” Dewhurst

Johnny Dewhurst and Tom Connolly took a canoe from Prince Albert and then walked into the Nahanni Valley where they stayed for quite a while. Then they walked down the Canol Road from the NWT.1) They came to the Yukon to trap in the early 1940s.2) Johnny lived in Teslin for a number of years before he met and married Grace who was born in Teslin in 1932. They were together for thirty-nine years before he died. 3) Grace Dewhurst died in 2021.
