Joseph Devine (b. 1871)

Joseph Devine was born in Ireland.1) He was single and living in lower Hunker Creek in 1911.2) He was a placer and quartz miner on Sulphur Creek in October 1916 when he enlisted to serve in the First World War.3) He was recruited by Captain George Black and was in England by August 1917.4) He returned to the Yukon after the war and was on a steamer from Whitehorse to Dawson on 7 July 1919.5)
