Robert Findlay (1880 – 1918)

Robert Findlay was born in Belfast, Ireland. He became the assistant manager of Landahl’s Emporium in Dawson. In 1918, he was living in Dawson and working as a waiter on the White Pass & Yukon Route’s steamer Yukon. He was a member of the Dawson Odd Fellows. In 1918, Findley bought a ticket to Vancouver where he was to be married and drowned when the Princess Sophia sank in the Lynn Canal.1)
