Sidney Bernard Frank (~1876 – 1926)
Sidney Frank was born in England and came to the Yukon in the early days with the Mounted Police. He and Adam Birnie worked on the construction of the Lewes Dam, and Frank took on maintenance of the dam with assistant Bernie after the dam was finished. Part of the job was taking soundings, and during a routine sounding, Sid Frank’s boat ran up on the apron of the dam and capsized. Frank was drowned when he tried to swim to shore.1)
