William Allen Foster (1868 – 1918)

William Foster was born in Millbrook, Ontario. He worked in the Yukon in the summer and lived in Vancouver during the winter. In 1918, he had been employed by Yukon Gold at Guggieville for ten years. He bought a ticket to Vancouver at the end of the season and drowned when the Princess Sophia sank in the Lynn Canal.1)
