Frank Llewellyn Gwillim (18790 – 1916)
Frank Gwillim was born in Clifford, Herefordshire, England.1) He worked as a lawyer in the Yukon for the firm Gwillim & Crisp from 1901 to 1907.2) Gwillim enlisted for service in the First World War in Vancouver in March 1915 and became a lieutenant in the 29th Battalion. He arrived in France in December and joined the battalion in the field in the Ypres sector. He was wounded in action at the Somme in September, and later died at the Reading War Hospital. Lieutenant Gwillim was awarded the 1914-1915 Star, the British War Medal and Allied Victory Medal. He is buried in St. Giles Churchyard in Mansell Grange, Herefordshire, England.3)
