Gustave Gervais

The Valerie property in the Whitehorse Copper Belt was staked by Gustave Gervais in August 1899. The claim is two miles west of McRae. Shallow shafts were dug, and forty tons of high-grade chalcopyrite was shipped in 1904. A. B. Palmer of Whitehorse carried on exploratory work in 1907.1)

In 1909, a two and a half miles long wagon road to Wigan Station was under construction during the season.2) The Atlas Mining Company held an option on the mine in 1912.3)
