George Alphonse Green (1874 – 1933)

George Green was born in Canada. He moved to Seattle in 1894 and then came north in 1899. He became the master of the sternwheeler Reliance. He was the master of the Reliance sailing into Fairbanks, Alaska in 1914. In 1920, he was captain of the Tanana. In 1926, he became the manager of Alaska Rivers Navigation Co. on the Kuskokwim River in Alaska. George Green died in Seattle.1)
