Thomas Greenaway (b. 1887)

Thomas Greenaway was born in Lewisham, Kent, England.1) He was a Royal North-West Mounted Police officer in Dawson between 1913 and 1916. He enlisted to serve in the First World War in Dawson in September 1916.2) Many Yukon RNWMP officers were British Army reservists and were called to their regiments in England. They included constables Harvey, Dooley, Hull, King, and Greenaway.3) Greenaway was recruited by Captain George Black and was in England in August 1917.4) Greenaway returned to the Yukon after the war and was living in Dawson in 1923-24.5) Tom Greenaway had a store and post office in Mayo in the 1920s.6)
