Allan Edward Haldenby (1919 - 2002)

Allen Haldenby was the son of Lottie (Redman) and Alfred Edward Haldenby. 1) He was the rector of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Dawson from 1954 into the 1960s.2) He also travelled to take services at Christ the Pioneer Church in Bear Creek, St. Barnabas' Church in Moosehide, at Granville, and at St. John's and St. Paul's Church in Eagle, Alaska.3) The Dawson City Museum holds written records of meetings and finances from St. Barnabas Church in Moosehide from 1960 to 1962.4) The Haldenbys left the Yukon in 1963. 5)

Reverend Haldenby served in parishes of Elmdale, Little Current, Islington, Innisfil, Long Branch, and Newcastle. He retired in 1985 and was Honorary Assistant of Trinity Church in Barrie, Ontario. He was husband to Grace (Hearne) and father of Charlotte Grace, Esther Mary (Alexander Ross) and the late Ruth Elaine (Michel Fadel).6)
