George L. Hillyer

George Hillyer was the leading actor and manager at the Palace Grand Opera House for a few months in the fall of 1899. He organized a company and leased the theatre from Charley Meadows. The new establishment vowed to present legitimate drama with the idea of making the theatre a first-class family resort for clean and instructive amusement. They started the season with Faust.1)
