Henry Henderson
Henry Henderson was one of three sons of Robert Henderson – Grant and John being the other two. When Henry was about twenty years old, he was one of the runners at the dredging operation on Gold Bottom. The drill camp was about fifty men. Doug Ferry managed the camp which had four drill crews, six shaft-sinking crews, and teamsters for hauling wood and water. Henry was also one of the clean-up men for all the dredges – a responsible position as he handled all the gold produced. In later years, Henry was a dredge master on different operations where Ferry was in charge.1)
