Danny Jurovich

Danny and Eve Jurovich purchased a house at Bear Creek and moved it to Joe Longtin’s property in Mayo in 1968. It was a one-story building with a big attic. Two Swedish brothers who worked for the mine at Elsa were carpenters, and they finished the attic into two bedrooms plus storage. They put in an oak staircase from Vancouver and the building became a two-story house. The spruce tree in the front yard was eighteen inches high in 1935, and the Jurovich’s planted more trees.¹⁾
