Shushanna Joe (d. late 1950s) >

Shushanna Joe was Upper Tanana.1) He led Billy James to the site of the 1913 Chisana gold discovery. He did not profit in the stampede but remained in the area mining on claim Nos. 3B and 3 in the late 1930s. Joe is buried overlooking Chisana City, Alaska.2)
