Walter Jensen (b. 1894)

Walter Jensen was born in Denmark. He worked for White Pass & Yukon Route as a shipwright at the Whitehorse shipyards from 1929 to 1955. He was in charge of storing the boats for the winter and returning them to the river in the spring. He hauled the sternwheeler Tutshi out of the water for the last time at Carcross.1) Walter Jensen and Lorne Coleman were interviewed by Cal Waddington for Parks and Historic Sites, July - September 1978.
