Rick Carp

Rick Carp grew up in Ottawa and taught high school for fourteen years.1)

Rick Carp opened the first McDonald’s in the Yukon in 1986 and continued to be a force in the Whitehorse business community for over thirty years. He served as president of the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce, for fourteen years, and as president of the Jewish Cultural Society of the Yukon. In 2024, Rich was awarded the Yukon 125 Medal for his leadership in fostering a Yukon where all can thrive.2)
