Shosa “Sam” Kawahara (1881 – 1971)

Sam Kawahara was one of several men of Japanese descent who came to Dawson after the gold rush. Kawahara worked as a camp cook for many years. He is buried in Dawson’s Yukon Order of Pioneers Dome Cemetery.¹⁾
