E. Lortie

E. Lortie carried out extensive renovations to his Yukon Tire Shop in 1947. His premises adjoined the Regina Hotel on First Avenue in Whitehorse, and his residence was at the rear of the building.1) E. Lortie was a director of the Whitehorse Board of Trade in 1949.2) Whitehorse was a White Pass & Yukon Route company town until 1950 when the community was incorporated. Until then, the Board of Trade acted in the absence of an elected municipal government.
