Ewald Freidrich Felix Lemke (1937 - 2025)
Ewald Lemke was born in Berlin, Germany and immigrated to Canada around 1960. He met and married Lois (Masse) and they lived and worked in Edmonton, Dawson Creek, Edson, Victoria, Calgary, Lethbridge, Atlin (where he left a lengthy community service) and finally moved to live in Whitehorse [in 1979]. Ewald was skilled in creating natural history displays and he worked at several museums across the country including the Royal BC Museum and the Canadian Museum of History.1) Freidrich Lemke was a talented and prolific water colour artist.
