James Lanoff
James Lanoff owned Claim #24 on Gold Run Creek for thirty or more years. He had several partners or helpers working on the claim when he was not working on a dredge for the Yukon Consolidated Gold Corp. Earl Bennett was one man who had lived and worked on Lanoff’s claim. In 1952, they worked in a shaft and stockpiled paydirt. The shaft was still evident in 1982 before Teck Corp ploughed through the area. The paydirt had never been sluiced.1)
