Joseph Legler (d. 1902)

Joseph Legler was the proprietor of the Middle Laberge roadhouse. He was found dead on 9 January 1902 on Lake Laberge about a mile and a half south from his roadhouse, having died of exposure. He had been to White Horse for supplies and was overtaken by a storm on his way home. He lost his way and succumbed to the cold. His body was taken to White Horse and interred. His effects were sold and the proceeds forwarded to the Public Administrator in Dawson.1)
