Karl Maxwell Lister (1913 – 1982)

Karl Lister was a lance corporal with the 16th Company Corps of Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME) in Whitehorse in 1952. Karl won a prize for the busiest beard at a Sourdough Rendezvous in February 1973. The trophies were handed out by Colonel Harland Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame. Karl Lister is buried at Grey Mountain cemetery in Whitehorse.¹⁾
