Ted Laking
Ted Laking was born in the Yukon and raised in Dawson. From 2010 to 2015, He was a political advisor to the federal Conservatives and communications director for the minister of environment [and climate change, Leona Aglukkaq]. From 2016 to 2021 he was the Yukon Party chief of staff and campaign manager for the 2021 territorial election. He provided research services in 2022 and 2023 and access-to-information documentation and cataloguing in 2022. In 2024, he led consultations on developing the Yukon Paty’s election platform.1)
Ted was three years on the Whitehorse City Council to 2025 and until spring of 2024 was the president of the Association of Yukon Communities.2)
