Milko Milosevich (1889 - 1918)

Milko Milosevich was born in Montenegro and was a farmer in Atlin when he enlisted to serve in the First World War.1) He was recruited by Captain George Black and was in England in August 1917.2) Milosevich received the Military Medal for his actions during the war. He was killed on August 13, 1918 and his name is engraved into the stone base of the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France. The memorial honours those Canadian soldiers who have no known grave.3)
