Ross Mercer
Ross Mercer grew up using a snow machine, first in Cassiar and then in Whitehorse. He competed in numerous freestyle sled-X events around the world including a competition in Moscow’s Red Square. In 2007, he was in Slovenia and then Colorado where he set a world record for the longest snowmobile ramp jump, 80.3 metres.1) He then beat his own record in Ume, Sweden, jumping 84.4 metres. It was a live show and not publicized so it was not recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. His Colorado feat is recorded in the 2009 edition.2)
