Jack McCutcheon

Jack McCutcheon was in charge of the camp for Yukon Gold when they put the Yukon Ditch water pipe across Mosquito Creek at Claim 35 Below Discovery on Bonanza. Joe Rousseau hauled a load of hay and oats up to the camp from the Bonanza Road and got the wagon stuck in the mud. Jack came down with some men to straighten and reload. Jack's son, Mickey, was working on the survey with Bert Parker and they happened along at the same time. Jack was on top of the load and was disgusted with his son for not being able to throw a bag of oats up on top. Jack bent down and grabbed the 120-pound bag with his teeth and threw it right over the wagon. He was an old grey-haired man at that time.1)
