Warren H.S. McFarland

Warren McFarland was born in the United States and graduated from the University of California in 1906. He came to the Yukon to work for fifteen years in a number of positions with the Yukon Gold Company in Dawson and Keno. In 1923, he joined Burral and Baird and managed it and the New Northwest [Gold] Corporation dredging companies. He was fired by A.N.C. Treadgold in 1925 and moved to the Fairbanks area to manage other mining concerns. After Treadgold was removed from the management of Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation (YCGC), McFarland became the general manager from 1934 to his retirement in 1947. He remained a consultant and director of YCGC until 1961, and the company ceased operation in November 1966.1)
