R.D. Nelson (1887 – 1962)
R.D. Nelson was postmaster and customs collector in Atlin for many years. In 1916, he enlisted for service in the First World War and served overseas for three years with the 72nd Seaforth Highlanders. Nelson was the customs officer in Carcross from 1946 to 1949 and is buried in the Whitehorse cemetery.1)
