Dorothy O'Keefe, nee Ogburn
Dorothy Ogburn went to Dawson City with her parents Mr. & Mrs. R.J. Ogden in 1904. They lived at Last Chance and then Dawson, where she attended school. She married Larry O'Keefe in 1915 and in 1918 they travelled to Nenana, Alaska where he managed the Northern Commercial Co. store. He died of the flu in 1920. Dorothy and Larry had two sons, Larry, born in Dawson, and Bill, born in Nenana. Dorothy went to Kansas where she lived for two years, then she moved to Seattle and became manager for the Alaska Department of Frederick & Nelson's store. She resigned to become coast representative for a New York firm selling institutional supplies.1)
