George Eric Otis (1872 - 1917)
George Eric Otis was born in Quebec and became a miner in the Dawson area.1) He was recruited by Captain George Black during the First World War and was in England in August 1917.2) He was with Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry when he was killed in action at Passchendaele Ridge on October 30, 1917.3) His name is listed on the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing in Ypres, Belgium.4) George Otis was awarded the British War Medal and Allied Victory Medal.5)
