James Ashton Pool (b. 1880)
James Pool enlisted for service in the First World War in July 1916. He named his occupation as a piano tuner in Dawson.1) While he was away, his placer mining claims on Tromblay Gulch, Dip, and Victor creeks, and his mineral claim (Mable) were all held free from cancellation.2) In 1923-24, Pool was working as an oiler for the Yukon Gold Company.3)
