Moe Parent (d. 1998)
Moe Parent came to the Yukon in the mid-1970s as a salesman for Whitehorse Motors. He soon had his own lot and then went to work for Bob Stack at Norcan. Parent was a co-founder with Sam Holloway of the short-lived Yukon Reader magazine. Parent never lost interest in publishing. He tried various mining ventures and loved gold. He always wore about a half pound of nuggets around his neck, on his watch, and on his fingers. Parent also loved good food, rum, and collecting stamps and cars.1)
