Andrew Rystogi
Andrew Rystogi and Martha Zirlinska applied for a marriage license in Dawson on 26 August 1902.1)
Rystogi and Gustave Ortman, baker, bought the Harrington Store in Dawson in April 1906 and Rystogi later bought Ortman's interest from his estate. Rystogi owned the Gem Bakery next door as well as a number of other bakeries in Dawson in the early days. The first title to the Dawson Hardware was issued to Rystogi in July 1906. Andrew owned the Dawson Bakery next door, operated by his brother Adam Rystogi. Andrew took over saloons and hotels including the Rochester and the Red Feather (Hub). He owned a lot of property that he rented. He purchased Winaut's Store in June 1907 and sold it in August to Charles Frank Burkhard.2)
