H. Rosenthal
H. Rosenthal was shipping a cargo of liquor through to Dawson and almost drowned at the WP&YR docks in Whitehorse in 1903. He was watching his goods being loaded onto a White Pass scow and decided to go aboard. He started sliding down a sweep and, losing his hold, dropped into the water. He was bald, about sixty years old, and weighed about 200 pounds. One of the men on the scow reached for him but could not get a purchase on his bald head. He was going down for the second time when a scow man jumped overboard and pulled him to shore. He had a bad scare and swallowed a quantity of water.1)
