Michelle Redfearn, nee Thompson (1947 – 2023)

Michelle Thompson was born in Hull, Quebec and grew up in an air force family that lived in Ottawa; Baden Baden, Germany; Toronto; and St. Jean, Quebec. She moved to the Yukon in 1970 when her family took over the Contact Creek lodge on the Alaska Highway. They ran it for a number of years before moving into Watson Lake. In that community, Michelle worked at Hougens and Community Outreach and then moved on to Whitehorse where she worked with the Rendezvous organization. After living at the Cantung Mine, Michelle spent ten years in the Vancouver area before retiring back to Whitehorse in 2015.1)
