Duncan Spriggs

Duncan Spriggs and a group of friends bought the venerable Westminster Hotel in Dawson in the early 1990s. Spriggs would eventually become the sole owner, and the hotel gained the reputation as the best place to see live entertainment.1)

Spriggs was awarded the Commissioner's Award for public service in 2001 for his numerous fund-raising endeavours for community events in Dawson and for the needy.2)
