Ernest R. Scroggie.

Ernest R. Scroggie came north from Rawdon, Quebec leading nine stampeders into the Stewart River area in 1898. Two of the men found gold on Scroggie Creek, named by Ernest’s brother Wealthy T. Scroggie, in August 1898.1)
