Richard Sidney

Richard Sidney was born in Teslin and raised in a traditional household, the oldest of seven siblings. He belongs to the Yanyedi Clan. Richard was involved in the Yukon land claims negotiations.¹⁾

Chief Richard Sidney was Naa Sháade Háni of the Teslin Tlingit Council on three different occasions: 1984-1986, 1996-2000, and 2016-2020.²⁾

From 2001 to 2016 he was the president of the Tle Nax T’awei Group, a limited partnership and the business arm of the Teslin Tlingit First Nation, and has served on numerous boards and committees.³⁾
