William Stuart

William Stuart, of Ottawa, erected the original log Canadian Bank of Commerce building in Dawson in 1898. He reported that lumber cost $200 per 1000 feet, a 16“ x 12 ” pane of glass cost $2.50, a common door was $22, and a newel $6.¹⁾
