Frank Percival Thorn (b. 1783)

Frank Thorn was born in England.¹⁾ He came to the Yukon in 1898 and was a member of the Yukon Order of Pioneers.²⁾ He had fourteen years with the Royal North-West Mounted Police when he enlisted in 1916 for service in the First World War.³⁾

Thorn return to Dawson after the war in June 1919.⁴⁾ The Department of Soldiers’ Civil Re-Enlistment arranged for a reduced rate for Thorn and other returned soldiers to travel to British Columbia in the fall of 1919.⁵⁾ In 1923-24, F. Thorne was working for Yukon Gold Ltd. in the lab.⁶⁾
